Who are we?
The Faddervakt project is an arrangement created by the Welfare Council in Stavanger in collaboration with the various study institutions, Stavanger Municipality, SiS and the Student Organization in Stavanger (StOr). The aim of the Sponsorship scheme is to help make the sponsor week a safe and good start to the academic year for new and old students.
What are the Faddervakt?
Faddervakter is an annual scheme in collaboration with Fadderuka that works towards ensuring that students have a safe and pleasant start to their studies. As a Patron Guardian in Stavanger, you stand at the Stand in Stavanger Center or at the Patron Festival at UiS.

As a Guardian, you stand on stand, hand out drinks and food, and show how the students can get home safely and securely.
How to become a Faddervakt
Becoming a volunteer guardian as a student, teacher, employee or elected official is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference. In addition to the social activities, there will be food, good company and karma points for those who have taken part in the work to ensure that new students have a safe encounter with Stavanger as Norway's best student city!
